THE STORY OF RUGLOCK
It all began with an idea…
…as most everything does. After 16 years of manufacturing premium, water-based flooring adhesives for Spray-Lock, Inc., inspiration struck. What if we could use our flooring adhesives for rugs? Our chemist and technical team set out to do just that. They wanted a product that could be applied to the back of rugs that kept them from slipping, forming a permanent rug backing with enough tack that would adhere to any surface without damaging floors. This was no small feat! After months and months of testing and tweaking the formula, RugLock was created. During this time, Fred Land, the President and CEO of Spray-Lock, Inc., received horrible news. His mother was injured after tripping on a loose rug in her bathroom. Just two months later, she passed away from complications from that very fall. Hitting so close to home, this tragedy gave Fred the determination to make sure RugLock was in every house, on every rug, to help prevent as many trip and fall accidents as possible.
I have tried everything to keep my dogs from sliding and making my runner end up in a ball by the door that we constantly slip on. Nothing worked until I bought RUGLOCK. It is great and I am recommending it to everyone!
Well worth the cost. I used it on a runner in front of the couch, an entryway rug, a 12ft braided runner down the hallway and a large area rug. Let it dry completely before putting rug down. Sticks to the floors like glue, yet pulls up easily for moving the rug. Best thing ever to make rugs slip-free.
I have tried every type of non-slip pad, tape, etc. None have worked – only helped or left a residue. Frustrated, I decided to give RugLock a try. It is fantastic. I have nothing but good things to say about it.
This is an awesome product! I am amazed at just how well it does work! We had a rug in a bedroom on hardwood floors, and I was always afraid any company would slip and fall. But now I can feel confident my guests are safe! And those of us with older parents, this is a wonderful product. I have begun spraying the backs of all my parents’ rugs because a fall is the last thing they need. We are ordering more to finish all the rugs. Yep, I am a fan!
This stuff really works! I’d recommend it! I used it for a cat litter trapper mat that would not stay put on my tile floor; it was slipping around everywhere, until I sprayed this stuff on the back of it. Now it’s locked tight in place! AWESOME stuff! Great seller communication too. No problems! A++
This really works well. We had tried other products that were a pain in the neck, especially the non-slip strips that allegedly stick to the rugs, except when you need to move the rugs. We have 8 runners that need to stay in place to keep our 90-pound dogs from slipping on our floor. Even when they are running, the runners stay in place. Great product!
I have a rug that sits in front of an outside doorway in my bedroom on top of wall-to-wall carpeting. For years, this rug has bunched. I applied a light coating of RugLock and put the rug down the next day. It hasn’t bunched and also hasn’t left any residual marks on my carpeting. I ended up spraying five rugs of varying sizes with one 16 oz can. Although it is early, I am very pleased with the results (no mess, no bunching, no slipping). Buying the spray was certainly cheaper than replacing the five rugs.
